William (BILLY) P. Brown

William (Billy) Brown, of Lakeville, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

He was the loving husband of Rachel Kate (Taylor) Brown for 40 years.

A lifelong resident of Middleborough, he was recently residing in Lakeville.  Billy graduated from Middleborough High School in 1965.  Despite standing only 5'5" tall, he was a member of the Varsity basketball team, coached by his brother, the late Robert (Bob) Brown.  Billy was an avid golfer, in his prime he was a 3 handicap.  His home course was Poquoy Brook Golf Club in Lakeville, where he also spent many happy years as the Outside Operations Manager.

He will be forever remembered and loved by his son, Jeffrey Brown & his wife, Courtney (Bendiksen) Brown.  Billy also recently became "Gramps" to the newest lights of his life, Makenna and Ryleigh Brown.  He was also the brother of the late Mary (Brown) Koerner, and son of the late Gardner & Evelyn (Ward) Brown.

At his request, burial services will be private.
