OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) William Farley, aged 80, lifelong resident of Middleboro, died on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Brockton. He was son of the late Edward J. and Elizabeth Gertrude (McCausland) Farley. He was a 1953 graduate of Middleboro Memorial High School. He served in the United States Army, during the Korean War. He was a retired rural letter carrier in the town of Middleboro. William was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro. He was a member of the Mitchell Memorial Club, where he played Semi-Pro football. He was also a member of the Middleboro Lodge of Elks and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include two sons, William and his wife Michelle Farley, of North Easton, Edward J. Farley, of Boston; a sister, Theresa Washburn, of Middleboro; a grand-daughter, Adriana E. Farley, of North Easton; several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late George J. Farley, and Edward Farley, and grandfather of the late Nicholas A. Farley. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 13th from 5-8 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, April 14th at 10 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St. Middleboro, at 11 am. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Middleboro.
