Wilfred Perry

OBITUARY: (RAYNHAM) Wilfred Joseph Perry Sr., 101 years old, from Lakeville, Massachusetts passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017. He was born on September 26, 1915 in Skinner's Pond, Prince Edward Island, Canada. He is the son of Frank Perry and Angelina Myers. He is one of 11 children. Wilfred immigrated to the United States in 1923. He was a World War ll Veteran who was stationed in England. He married Evelyn Anderton in 1947, who predeceased him in 2007. He worked at Lakeville State Hospital as a cook and Assistant Dietitian for 29 years. He was a member of Sts. Martha & Mary Church in Lakeville. He was a resident at LifeCare Center in Raynham, MA. He leaves behind his five children: Gloria, Bill, Edward, Grace, and Lucille. He has 11 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren. Wilfred was a devoted and loving father. He enjoyed bowling, piano, accordion, harmonica, Red Sox, Bingo, and being a Checker Player King. His kindness will be remembered by everyone who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held at Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleboro, MA. Visiting hours are Sunday, April 9, 2:00-4:00PM. Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 10, at 10:00AM.
