Warren Boutin Obituary

Warren Louis Boutin, 90, of Middleborough, MA, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at home with his wife by his side.  He was the loving husband of Geraldine (McCarthy) Boutin for over 60 years.

Born in Newton, MA and raised in Brockton, MA, he is the son of the late Adelard and Jean Boutin.  Warren was captain of the Brockton High School Baseball team where he was known as “Lefty” to his teammates.  The Boxers won the 1948 State Baseball Championship at Fenway Park behind a dazzling pitching display from “Lefty” that earned the admiration of his teammates as they carried him off the field on their shoulders.  Upon graduating from Brockton High School in 1949, Warren attended Wilbraham & Monson Academy where he excelled at Baseball, Football and Hockey.  Warren entered the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and reached the rank of A/1C before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1955.  After leaving the military, Warren worked at Helio Aircraft, and Altronics, before co-founding and becoming President of Accurate Fabricators (Accu-Fab) located in Middleborough, MA in 1970.  Warren would remain President of Accu-Fab until his retirement in 1988.

Warren was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, and woodworking.  His love for flying continued later in life as he would build and fly remote control planes with his grandchildren as a beloved member of the South Shore RC and Wingbuster’s radio control clubs.  Warren was most proud of his family, especially his 11 grandchildren.  He coached his son in Little League Baseball and travelled the country with his daughters competing in the Appaloosa Horse Circuit for many years.  In recent years, he could always be found cheering on his grandchildren in Football, Field Hockey, Basketball, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Baseball, Lacrosse and Rugby.  Warren will best be remembered for his compassion, quick wit, and his ability to make the best out of any situation. He will forever be the epitome of a role model for his children and grandchildren.

Along with his wife Geraldine, he is survived by his sister Jane Gordon and her late husband Warren (Duke) Gordon of Middleborough, his son Warren Boutin and his wife Danielle and their children Seamus, Colin, Rian, Kayleen and Aidan Boutin all of Hanover, his daughter Maryellen Morin and her husband Joseph, and their children Joseph and Noelle Morin of Duxbury, his daughter Maureen O’Neil and her husband John, and their children JP, Conor, Timothy, and Matthew O’Neil also of Duxbury.

The funeral will be private with interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with full Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans at dav.org.
