Walter E. Foster

Walter E. Foster, a resident of Oakhill Healthcare in Middleborough, formerly of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the age of 91.

Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Edith (Skillings) Silva and the late James "Jim" Foster.  Walter grew up in Brockton, attended public schools, was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1949 and he was active in a local church.  He attended Springfield College and wrote for a local Springfield newspaper.  Walter spent most of his adult life residing in Springfield.  In his free time, he enjoyed writing, reading and gardening.

Walter was the loving brother of Joanne Foster Alden DePasqua & her husband Jim of Taunton and the late Marian Reagan and the late Warren Foster.  He is also survived by a large extended family.

Funeral and Interment services will be private.
