Thelma Wentworth Obituary

Thelma E. (O'Connell) Wentworth, aged 87, longtime resident of Middleborough, died on Monday, November 5, 2018, at Life Care Center of Raynham.
 
She was the loving and devoted wife of William "Bill" D. Wentworth, who predeceased her on July 9, 2015. Born in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late William and Leona (Sherry) O'Connell. She was a graduate of Dighton High School. She had worked as a Teacher's aide in the Middleborough Public School system for several years. She enjoyed spending time at Wood's Lake with her family.
 
She is survived by two daughters; Debra Brower and her husband Ted, and Diane Burke and her husband Mike, all of Middleborough, two sons, W. Daniel Wentworth Jr. and his wife Michelle, of Middleborough, Thomas Wentworth and his wife Aida of Davenport, FL, 10 grandchildren, Brandon Brower and his wife Becky, Kevin Brower and his wife Jane, Timothy Burke and his wife Cait, Brian Burke and his wife Kathleen, Matthew Burke, William D. Wentworth III, Nathan Wentworth, Adam Casey, Drew Wentworth, Randall Wentworth, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother and was the loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two loving sister-in-laws, Carol Wentworth and Geraldine Menard. She was predeceased by a brother Father William O'Connell, and sisters Leona Scott, Rosemary Constantine, Shirley Meunier.
 
Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street. Middleborough, on Friday, November 9th from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre Street. Middleborough, on Saturday, November 10th at 10 am.
 
Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Taunton.
