Obituary

Susan M. (Strange) Dalton, age 80, of Middleborough, formerly of Greenfield and Turners Falls, Massachusetts, died on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.

Born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie (Strange) McCrea and step-daughter of the late Edward McCrea.  Susan grew up and attended public schools in Turners Falls and was a graduate of Turners Falls High School.  She attended UMass and then enrolled in the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing in Boston (Brigham & Women's Hospital) and graduated in 1965, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.  For years, Susan worked as a Registered Nurse for the State of Connecticut.  In retirement, she enjoyed doing ceramics and was a talented painter.

Susan was the beloved wife of Stephen Dalton; loving mother of Serein Lambert & her husband Keith of Winter Garden, Florida, Scott Dalton & his wife Stephanie of Hinsdale, New Hampshire and Seth Dalton of Schulenburg, Texas; devoted grandmother of Iain, Victoria and Trey; dear sister of Deirdre Campbell of Turners Falls, Massachusetts and Margaret Platek of Ashland, Massachusetts.

Funeral and Interment Services will be private.
