Steven D. Rosario, age 67, of Middleborough, passed away at home on Monday, June 23, 2025, following a long battle with Lyme disease and a short battle with lung cancer. Jacqueline, his wife of 39 years, was by his side.
Born in Fall River, Steve grew up in Swansea and graduated from Joseph Case High School where he was a football standout. For many years, he worked as a carpenter throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. In the 90's, he was a civilian employee of the Naval Historical Detachment in Boston, working on the rebuilding of the USS Constitution.
Steve shared his love of animals with his wife. Their pets, most of whom were rescues, were the highlight of his life. He enjoyed being out in nature, boatbuilding, fishing, carpentry, carving, gardening, watching movies and maintaining his home. Steve was a real character with a great sense of humor and a very kind heart. He will be missed.
He was predeceased by his father Edwin, uncle Adrien and Aunt Beverly.
He is survived by his mother Joan, sister Susan Donovan (Paul), niece Jessica Donovan and brother Michael (Lori).
There will be NO visiting hours.
Funeral and Interment services are private.
