OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Russell P. Edington, 89, of Middleboro, died on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the Golden Living Center at Oak Hill, Middleboro. He was the husband of Dolores (Burham) Edington. Born in Shelbyville, Kentucky; he was the son of the late Charles and Virginia (Tindal) Edington. He served a year in the United States Marines, and retired from the United States Navy, after 20 years of service. He was a retired supervisor at the Winthrop-Atkins Company, where he had worked for 25 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, and he also enjoyed camping. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; four sons, Brian Edington, of FL, Roger Edington, of NY, Jack Edington, of MA, Glenn, of NH; three daughters, Dolores Ann Theriault, of NH, Rhonda Robicheau, of MA, Laureen Wohler, of MA; a brother, James Edington, of Kentucky; 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. He was father of the late Russell P Edington Jr. Visiting hours will be held from 10am-12 noon on Saturday, February 6th in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, with a funeral service to be held at 12 noon. Burial will take place in the Cemetery at the Green, Plympton St. Middleboro.
