Roger White Obituary

OBITUARY: (STOUGHTON) Roger Alan White, 69, of Middleboro, died on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at New England Sinai Hospital, Stoughton, after a lengthy battle with ALS. He was the husband of Brenda A. (Lacy) White. Born in Middleboro; he was the son of Alfred and Avis (Johnson) White. He was a graduate of Middleboro High School, where he played basketball, and had served in the United States Army. Roger worked for Amerigas as a service technician for 27 years; he was employed in this line of work for 32 years. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. Roger leaves behind his wife, Brenda (Lacy) White, two step-children, John and his wife Patti Silvia, of Auburn, CA, Lisa Silvia, of Middleboro; two grandchildren, Sabrina and Alyssa Silvia of San Bernardino; nieces, Carol White, of Valley Village, CA, Janet White, of Lakeville, Ami and her husband Jarred Russell of San Jose, CA; a nephew, Daniel and his wife Rebecca White, of Kenneth Square, PA. He also leaves four great-nephews, Joshua and Evan White, Nathaniel and Andrew Russell, and a great-great-niece, Mika White; a sister-in-law, Hong Gao of Salinas, CA, and her husband, the late, Philip White, and Helen White and her husband, the late, Donald White, of Lakeville. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 11th from 4-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12th at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
