Roberta Florindo

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Roberta "Bertie" Florindo (Candee)- 64 of Whitman passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Rita and Robert Candee of Middleboro. Bertie was born in Waterbury, Conn. before moving to Middleboro. She was a graduate of Middleboro's class of 1972 before pursuing a career in banking at the loan office for Middleboro Trust Company. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her significant other Jim on his sailboat, watching cooking shows. She loved to cook, spend time with her dog and travel. She leaves behind her significant other of 24 years Jim Reid of Whitman, her daughter Dawn Wilson Piper and her husband David Piper Jr. of Carver, her two sisters Pamela Trag and her husband Guy of VT, Elizabeth Bryant and her husband Allen of Fl., and her favorite brother Brian Candee and his wife Callie of Tx, three grandchildren, Tia Marie, Dustin and Brendon Costa of Carver, one niece and four nephews, a great grandson Parker Caleb of Carver, her step son Jim Reid and his wife Karen, and too many friends to list. Her funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St. Middleboro at 10:00 AM on June 1st followed by a celebration of life gathering at a location to be announced. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dana Faber Cancer Institute in Bertie's honor would be greatly appreciated.
