Robert B. Warren, age 92, a longtime resident of Middleborough, formerly of Weymouth, died on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Son of the late Basil and Esther (Bicknell) Warren, Bob is survived by his brother Alan and was predeceased by his sister Edith Imlach. Bob was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (Parker) for 67 years and loving father of Tom Warren and his wife Jane, Tammy Tinkoff and her husband Dave, Lois Matthews and her husband Tom, and the late Robert Warren Jr. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Bob graduated from Weymouth High School Class of ’47 and UMass Amherst Class of ’51 where he was an MVP of the football team in 1950. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict as 1st Lt, 141st Tank Battalion.
Bob, a CLU, was a longtime agent and Estate Planning Specialist for Farm Family Insurance Company and was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He was a former board president and treasurer of the Middleboro YMCA and enjoyed coaching Mitchell Memorial Club youth football. Bob was a member of the Massachusetts Agricultural Club for many years and is a past president and treasurer of the organization. Bob enjoyed his camp in Maine and being with his family, of whom he was very proud.
All are welcome to visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Old Colony YMCA, 61 East Grove Street, Middleborough, MA 02346.
There will be a private family interment at a later date.
