Robert Briggs

OBITUARY: (CARVER) Robert W. "Briggo" Briggs, aged 76 years, of Carver, formerly of Middleboro, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 21, 2013, at home. He was born in Middleboro, son of the late Vernon E. and Dorothy J. (Matheson) Briggs. He was a graduate of Middleboro High School, class of 1954. He served in the United States Navy. He had been a book-keeper for the former Atwood-Costello Dealership, and Moskoff Supermarket. He was known for his umpiring softball and baseball games, and at one time had announced football games at Middleboro High School. He and his family enjoyed summering at their camp in Fryeburg, ME. Survivors include several cousins. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Egger Funeral Home, Middleboro.
