Richard F. (Stoney) (Rock) Stone, Jr., at age 85, of Middleborough, died on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at the Morton Hospital in Taunton, of injuries sustained from a fall. He was born in Jamaica Plain, the son of the late Richard & Helen (Burns) Stone. Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, as a paratrooper, during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime pigeon racing fancier; which he learned from his father and raced along with his father. Richard was very passionate about Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), sponsoring many people over the years. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years and retired in 1996. Richard was the beloved husband for 54 years to the late Irene (Kukla) Stone; loving father of Lauren Stone of Onset, Robin Enos of Wareham & her late husband Anthony, Kelley Marvill & her husband Ron of Bridgewater and Cynthia Adams of Middleborough & her late husband Ronald; devoted grandfather of Daniel Adams and Rylie Hager; dear brother of Marion Sue Marcum of Hyde Park, Thomas Stone of Medford and the late William Stone. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be NO visiting hours. Funeral and Interment services will be private.
