Richard Lemmo Obituary

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Richard Joseph Lemmo, aged 75, lifelong resident of Middleboro, died on Friday, April 8, 2016, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth. He was the son of the late John A. and Florence A. (Santucci) Lemmo. He was a graduate of Middleboro Memorial High School, class of 1958; where he played football and baseball. He served in the United States Navy for 25 years. He worked at the Middleboro Landfill, and Hannaford's Supermarket, and the Middleboro School System. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro. Dickie was a member of the Mitchell Memorial Club. He was an avid Boston sports fan. Survivors include a daughter, Lori Nguyen, of Irvine, CA; a son-in-law, Harry Nguyen, of Quincy; three brothers, James and his wife Elaine Lemmo, of Lakeville, Michael and his Donna Lemmo, of Plymouth, Joseph and his wife Rosemary Lemmo, of Middleboro; a sister, Joyce and her husband Robert Morse, of Assonet; two grandchildren, Colin and Corrine Nguyen; several nieces and nephews, many close friends and his Mitchell Club family. He was brother of the late Joanne Lemmo. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 12th from 5-8 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 13th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to: The Richard "Coach" Lemmo Fund, c/o Mitchell Club Youth Sports, 29 Elm St. Middleboro, MA 02346.
