Randy Antonelli

Randy Antonelli, age 78, of Berkley, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at his home.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Greenwood) Hopwood.  Randy attended public schools, graduated and enlisted in the US Army in 1968 during the Vietnam War.  He proudly served his country with courage, strength and honor.  A decorated veteran, Randy was awarded numerous medals: the Silver Star Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.  He received an honorable discharge in 1969.

Randy began his career as a Plumber advancing to a Master Plumber in the family plumbing business where he worked for many years.   In retirement, he kept busy working on the computer.  Randy was also an avid collector of coins and cars.

Randy was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Bumpus) Antonelli for 50 years; loving father of Robert Rawlings & his wife Annette of Wareham, Richard Rawlings of Wareham, Kim Antonelli of Fall River and Randy Antonelli of Florida; dear grandfather of Steven, Hannah, Paul, Nicky; great-grandfather of Fallon and Emeory; cherished brother of Gail Juzonis & her husband Al of Oxford, Cindy Baker & her husband Joe of Lakeville, Shelley Westgate & her husband Thomas of Norton, Todd Hopwood of Middleborough, Jack Hopwood & his wife Lori of Middleborough and the late Melanie Gonet.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to the visiting hours at the Ashley~Drolette Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on FRIDAY, JULY 10, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM.

Interment services with military honors for Randy will be held at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
