Peter George Dean

Peter George Dean, of West Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Middleborough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the age of 56, after a long illness.

He was born on March 26, 1967, in Stoughton, the son of George Dean and the late Susan (Mahan) Dean.  Peter graduated from Middleborough High School in 1985.  Peter used his people skills and determination to form a successful career.  He managed Purity Markets, Windfall Market, Publix Supermarkets, and CVS locations in both Massachusetts and Florida throughout his lifetime.  In 2018, due to ongoing health problems, he finished his career at Sherle Wagner, International in management.

Pete was endlessly kind and generous.  He loved to make other people happy and was at his best when surrounded by friends and family.  He always had boundless energy and an infectious laugh.  He was a kid at heart complete with having large amounts of candy and bubble gum at all times.  Pete was an avid Boston sports fan and also loved the Minnesota Vikings from an early age.

For most of his adult life, Pete went back and forth between living in Orlando and Massachusetts/Rhode Island.  He loved being close to his family at home but also loved warm weather and Disney.  He was a true friend, maintaining many relationships from childhood and across states.

Peter will be missed everyday by his father George Dean of Middleborough; his sister Cheryl Dean of Taunton; his brother Edward Dean and his wife Jennifer of Indian Trail, North Carolina; his friend Ricardo Nogueras; his dog Blue; as well as many other family members who loved him dearly.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the visiting hours at Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough,  on Saturday, May 13, 2023,  from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON.
