OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Paul P. Kurth, the son of Otto and Grace Kurth, born on March 15, 1945, in Antigo, WI, died on August 15, 2017, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 72 years old. Paul graduated from Cranston High School and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was the Director of Manufacturing for Zenith, Beltone, and Omron in Chicago and for Remtec in Norwood, MA. After retirement, he was affiliated with the Freetown-Lakeville schools. He is survived by his wife, MaryKay Kurth, daughters, Jacklyn and her husband Steve Bieser of California, Jennifer and her husband Brian Vanklompenberg of Illinois, Kathy and her husband Jeff Faucher of MA, and Danielle and her husband Renato DeLuca of Illinois. He had seven grandchildren. His brother, Wm. Kurth and his wife the late Judith Kurth, sisters, Audie and her husband Lyle Teal, Phyllis Leonard and her husband the late Gerald T. Leonard; brothers-in-law, Chuck Paul GA, Mark and his wife Jenay Paul, TX, and James and Lori Paul, FL. Additionally, Paul had many nephews and nieces. Last but not least, his best friend, Robert Clark of Freetown, MA. Paul was an avid fisherman, built a 1965 Cobra Replica from Factory Five in 2010, and he had a skill set envied by many... he loved boating, woodworking, mechanics, and if he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed. Paul was a soft spoken man who loved his family, loved to travel, go to movies, and restaurants. He loved a challenge. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: The National Parkinson's Foundation in Paul's name. Memorial services will be held at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, at 9 am on August 25th followed by internment at the Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Middleboro.
