Paul S. Bumpus, age 73, of Middleborough, formerly of Brockton, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at his home.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Everett A. Bumpus and the late Edna L. (Sampson) Bumpus Anderson. Education was very important to Paul, he graduated high school and continued onto college earning his Bachelor's Degree as well as his Master's Degree. In 1970, he entered active duty with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, served honorably, achieved the rank of Sergeant and was discharged in 1972. During his lifetime, he had various jobs including being a donut baker and a computer operator for a medical information bureau. Paul was a simple man, and he led a simple life.
Paul is survived by his son, Eric Bliss and his family; his brother, Stephen Bumpus and his family of Hanson; and his brother-in-law, George MacCallum and his family of California. Paul was the brother of the late Linda MacCallum.
There will be NO visiting hours.
All are invited to attend the BRIEF Military Honors committal service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Connery Avenue, Bourne, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:15 AM.
