Patricia Anne (Gonsalves) Silva

Patricia Anne (Gonsalves) Silva, age 71, of East Taunton, formerly of Carver, died on Monday, November 8, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Filezbela (Anahory) Barros and the late August Gonsalves.  For years, Patricia was a teacher in Special Education, helping numerous students around the world.

Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Silva; loving mother of Gjia Said & her husband Aden of East Taunton and Marion Silva Peterson of Texas; devoted grandmother of Zachary Halloran and Abraham Said both of East Taunton, Marissa Rice Peterson & Zach Rice, Christopher Peterson & Annalise Peterson and great-grandmother of Xander Peterson all of Texas; dear sister of John Gonsalves of Sacramento, California and the late Elvira Myres, August Gonsalves, Jr., Frank Gonsalves and Robert Gonsalves.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with a funeral service starting at 12:30 PM.

Following the funeral service, all are welcome to the interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Connery Avenue, Bourne, at 1:45 PM.
