Normand Lamarre

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Normand Lamarre, 80, of Middleboro, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Morton Hospital, Taunton. He was the husband of the late Elaine (Remillard) Lamarre, who predeceased him on February 15, 2001. He was born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph and Roseanna (LeFleur) Lamarre. He served in the United States Army. He was a retired truck driver in construction. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro, and served as an usher for many years. Survivors include a step-daughter; Cindy Gosky of FL; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was longtime companion of the late Veronica Canucci. The family would like to thank the Island Terrace Nursing Home, Lakeville, for their kindness and care. He was a kind and gentle man with an easy smile and a helping hand to all who needed it. Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, on Saturday, March 7th from 10:00-1:00 pm, with a prayer service to be held at 12:30 pm in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery, Middleboro. In lieu of flowers, please consider to do an act of kindness to another.
