Nicholas Giardino

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Nicholas Anthony Giardino, aged 82, of Middleboro, died on Friday, September 15, 2017, at the Golden Living Center at Oak Hill, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Priscilla Ann (Davidson) Giardino; they had been married for 56 years. Born in Everett, MA; he was the son of the late Nicholas and Grace (Calabro) Giardino. Nicholas obtained his Master's Degree in Physics and went on to teach at Boston University, and later at Suffolk University. He was an avid astronomer, which included observing the moon, and he was active in civil defense. He had a passion for staying healthy and lifting weights. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro. Survivors include his wife, Priscilla, a son, Robert Giardino, a daughter, Colleen and her husband Douglas Lieb, three grandchildren, Jessica, Douglas III and Tiffany Lieb. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 18th from 4-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 19th at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St Middleboro. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Middleboro.
