Mildred Sinnott Obituary

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Mildred M. (Soule) Sinnott, aged 97, longtime resident of Middleboro, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Morton Hospital, Taunton. She was the wife of the late Henry Alden Sinnott, who passed away on February 3, 2011; they had been married for 62 years. She was born in Augusta, ME; daughter of the late Everett W. and Grace M. (Roberts) Soule. She was a graduate of Burdett College. Mildred was secretary to the Middleboro Town Clerk. She was an active member of the Central United Methodist Church, where she held many positions, and especially enjoyed playing in the hand bell choir. She had volunteered at the Middleboro Council on Aging, and other senior organizations. She was a member of the Hannah Shaw O.E.S. and was active in theater groups, and participated in many musicals with the Special Events. She was a resident of Island Terrace Nursing Home, where she enjoyed many activities. Survivors include a son, Richard A. and his wife Susan Sinnott; a daughter, Linda J. Merritt; two grandchildren, Jared A. Sinnott and Tara M. and her husband Mark Rezendes; two great-grandchildren, Camryn and Skylar Rezendes. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 28th from 4-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29th at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Middleboro. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Central United Methodist Church, 16 School St. Middleboro, MA 02346.
