Mary D. (Pocius) Tarr

Mary Dorothy Tarr, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and Dementia. 

She was born on November 14, 1956, in Dorchester, to Genevieve and Joseph Pocius who preceded her in death.  She was a resident of the Town of Middleborough for 45 years.

Mary is survived by her husband Frank, sister and husband Christine and Ernie Tarr, sister Lorainne Giannini, her son Brian and her three daughters and their husbands Clorrisa Tarr, Shiela and Jonathan Lally, Kelly and Jason Brooks, grandson Nicholas and many beloved nieces.

Mary had a huge heart and was a foster and adoptive parent for 26 years with the Department of Children and Families (formerly DSS).  Mary was also a talented florist and worked for many years at Hannaford's/Big Y where she had many beloved colleagues.

Please join us to celebrate her life at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Monday, October 3, 2022, between 3:00-7:00 PM, with a Prayer Service starting at 7:00 PM.

Interment services will be private.
