Mary E. Dascoulias

Mary E. Dascoulias, age 71, of Middleborough, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Morton Hospital in Taunton.

Born and grew up in Middleborough, she was the daughter of the late Angelo & Helen (Tarr) Dascoulias.  Mary attended public schools and graduated Middleborough High School, Class of 1968, and continued her education earning her Bachelor's Degree from North Adams and graduated in 1972.  Her working career was in Middleborough, starting at Central Cafe, then at the Mayflower Bank and later joining the staff at READS Collaborative (Regional Educational Assessment & Diagnostic Services) where she worked until her retirement in December 2020.  Mary was active and volunteered for many years with her church, Church of Our Savior in Middleborough.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and doing arts and crafts as well as basket weaving; she loved baking too.  Mary, the matriarch of her family, cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren.  She was always family-orientated; concerned for others and their well-being, and she would always stay in contact with family members, family was important to Mary.  Even though she was not a veteran, Mary respected and admired the U.S. Marines for their duties.

Mary was the beloved mother of Angela Jackson & her husband Robert of Middleborough; loving grandmother of Nickolas Clayton and Emma Clayton; cherished sister of Kathleen Dascoulias of Middleborough and former wife of the late William Granfield.

Family and friends are welcome to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 3:00-7:00 PM.

All are invited to attend Mary's funeral service at the Church of Our Saviour, 120 Centre Street, Middleborough, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at the Central Cemetery, Centre Street, Middleborough.
