Mary Theresa (Gross) Adams

Mary T. (Gross) Adams, age 72, of Middleborough, died peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Cardigan Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Scituate.

Born in Middleborough, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Lillian (Salley) Gross.  Mary grew up in Middleborough, attended public schools and was a graduate of Middleborough High School, Class of 1967.  After graduation, she got married and started her family and was a devoted homemaker.  Mary loved animals, especially dogs and over the years she had many different breeds of dogs as household pets which she adored.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and her true passion was photography; Mary would capture many photographs particularly those involving nature scenes.  She would sit for hours taking pictures of the splendours of nature.  Mary also worked with her husband David at their business, the Rock Village Country Store in Middleborough.

Mary was the beloved wife for 42 years to David Adams; loving mother of Matthew Adams of Middleborough, Paula Pavao & her husband David of Swansea, Paul Bonneau of Mississippi, Cindy Pierce of Halifax, Robin Kuketz & her husband John of Lakeville and David Adams of Florida; cherished grandmother of Emily, Lauren, Brandy, Cassandra, Dakota, Brian, Kristopher, Kayla and great-grandmother of Codan; dear sister of Roberta McQuade of Georgia, Paul Gross of Lakeville, John Gross of Lakeville and the late Peter Gross, Martha Gross and Patrick Gross.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 PM.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleborough, on Friday, August 5, 2022, starting at 9:45 AM, followed by her funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Isidore Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre Street, Middleborough, at 10:30 AM.

Interment at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Wood Street, Middleborough.
