Marilyn G. (Main) McTernan

Marilyn G. (Main) McTernan, age 66, of Middleborough, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

She was born in Middleborough, the daughter of the late Stuart & Marjorie (Pike) Main. Born and raised in Middleborough, Marilyn was a graduate of Middleborough High School class of ‘75. Retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of MA at the age of 55. In her retirement years she enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and the company of her great-grandchildren, and her best friend Terry. She was devoted to her family and friends and will be missed greatly.

Marilyn was the wife of Warren McTernan; loving mother of Shannan (McTernan) Fortin & her husband Anthony of Taunton and Amanda Blakely of Georgia. She is also survived by her granddaughter Kayla Blakely, grandson Aaron Brooks, several great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 PM.

All are welcome to attend the funeral service at the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleborough, on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 10:30 AM.

Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne at 12:30 PM.
