OBITUARY: (LAKEVILLE) Louise A. Grant 79, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 26th after a period of declining health. She was the wife of John E. Grant Sr., with whom she celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary with this past June. Louise was the daughter of the late Charles Sr. & Ada Sayce (Tassinari). Born in Hanson, raised in Whitman, she was the only daughter of 8 children. She resided in Brockton prior to moving to Middleboro/Lakeville in 1988. She was a stay at home mother and house wife until the early eighties, when she took a job at Hermatite & later Ocean Spray where she retired from in 1993 as a member of the local teamsters. Louise enjoyed many summers camping at Maple Park in Wareham where she raised her children & then grandchildren. She especially enjoyed going on cruises and had one planned for this October. She spent her spare time doing puzzles, reading, going for Sunday drives, watching baseball, shopping and spending time with her family. In her most recent years, she was kept busy by her great granddaughter Emma whole she loved spending time with. She was the mother of 4, Grandmother of 10 & Great grandmother of 5. Survivors include her husband John, her 4 children, Patricia Grant-Sullivan and companion Teresa Grant-Sullivan of Fall River, John Grant Jr. Of Middleboro, Kim (Grant) Rudolph & her husband Glenn of New Bedford, and Thomas Grant of New Bedford. She is also survived by 2 of her brothers, Harold Sayce & his wife Anne, and Alan Sayce & his wife Ruth, and all of her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Pre deceased are her parents, Charles & Ada Sayce, and brothers Russel, Wallace, George, Charles & Ralph. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 31st from 5-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at Monday, August 1st at 10 am. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Middleboro.
