Linda (Walker) Tannahill

Linda (Walker) Tannahill, age 70, of Onset, formerly of Middleborough, died on Thursday, September 21, 2023, after a long illness, at the Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility in Bourne.

She was born, grew up and attended public schools in Middleborough.  While in high school, Linda was a Majorette for the Sacred Heart Sabres and graduated from Middleborough High School, Class of 1971.  She continued her education at Bridgewater State College, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Education.  For many years, Linda was a school teacher for the Middleborough Public Schools.

Linda was full of energy with an out-going personality and had lots of friends.  She had outdoor motor boats, a lobster boat and loved cruising up and down the Cape Cod Canal.

Linda was the beloved wife of the late John Tannahill; cherished daughter of Deborah (Anderson) Walker of Middleborough & the late Joseph Walker, Jr.; loving sister of Geary Walker & his wife Theresa of Middleborough; dear aunt of Jonathan Walker, Andrew Walker, Jennifer Walker and great-auntie of Hollie, Ryeleigh, Cassandra, Paige and Pipper.

Family and friends are welcome to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 3:00-7:00 PM.

All are invited to Linda's funeral service at the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleborough, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Wood Street, Middleborough.
