OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Linda (Blais) Gammons, beloved mother and friend, passed away on July 4th after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Pauline (Chartier) Blais and mother of Liza (Gammons) Cook, of Oxford, CT and Todd Gammons, of Middleboro, MA. She was born in Middleboro, graduated in 1966 from Middleboro High where she was voted "best dancer & most talkative" and worked for many years in the golf industry. Linda was an avid golfer and lover of life. She raised her children in Lakeville MA, where she worked at Lakeville Hospital and managed local golf courses, then spent several years in Ruidoso, NM with Charlie, the love of her life. Family always came first and she will be missed by siblings Bonnie Prophet of Bourne MA, Janet and her husband Harry Washburn of Intervale NH, Steven & his wife Pam Blais of Lakeville MA, Michael Blais of Lakeville MA, and Mary Chiuppi of Middleboro MA. She leaves a long list of childhood friends, along with grandchildren Kaiden and Matthew Gammons, age 10, Thomas Penrose Cook III, age 8, Bella, Blake & Benjamin Cook, age 6. Linda will be remembered by her distinct STYLE, silver bangles, amazing smile, love for golf, music, adventure and ability to make a friend anywhere she went. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 15th from 5-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St. Middleboro, on Saturday, July 16th at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Middleboro. In lieu of flowers, donation in remembrance can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave. 7th floor, New York, NY 10001
