Obituary

Lauralee A. Griffith, age 61, of Middleborough, formerly of Newport, Rhode Island, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

She was born and grew up in Middleborough, attended public schools and graduated Middleborough High School, Class of 1978.  She attended Bridgewater State College.  For many years, Lauralee worked in Newport, Rhode Island as a Portrait Artist.  She performed stand-up comedy and was a puppeteer using her skills working with physically challenged individuals in the Fall River area.  Lauralee was a special, loving person; she adored being with her family and friends, was a music fanatic and enjoyed playing a good game of pool.  She found great pleasure with kayaking on Lake Assawompset in Lakeville, which brought her peace.

Lauralee is the cherished daughter of Wayne & Janet (Thomas) Griffith of Middleborough; loving sister of Jayne Ferreira & her husband Larry of Fall River, Todd Griffith of Middleborough and Amy G. Donohue of Fairhaven; dear aunt of Shannon, Leslie, Anna, Maddie, Margaret, Anthony and James.  She is also survived by many aunts, cousins, friends and her beloved pet cat, Lilly.

Family and friends are welcome to the visitation period at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM.

Interment services will be private.
