Kenneth Tubman Obituary

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Kenneth L. Tubman, Jr., 81, retired Master Sergeant USAF, Veteran, died January 14, 2015, at his home. Residing in Middleboro, MA., he was the husband of Mary L. Tubman and the son of the late Kenneth L. and Doris F. (Vickery) Tubman, Sr.. Born in Bridgewater, MA, Mr. Tubman attended Middleboro schools prior to enlisting in the USAF. During his 20 years of service, he traveled throughout the United States and overseas, and received several medals and commendations before retiring out of Otis Air Force Base. After his retirement, he went to work in maintenance for Cape Cod Systems of Hyannis (McDonald's) for 25 years before retiring in 2003. In addition to his wife, he is survived his children, Penny-Lee and Terry Zartman of MA, Kenneth and Diane Tubman, III of FL, Katherine and Richard Ducasse of MA., and Steven Tubman of MA, Cynthia and Paul Woodman of VT., and Kevin Tubman, of MA, and was father of the late Crystal L. Downs. He has 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lydia Francis, Marion Seekall, and Doris Cobb of MA, Elizabeth Sennett of CT., and the late Sally Marler of CA and Earl Tubman of MA.; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 pm on Monday, January 19th in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, MA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20th in the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial at Veteran's National Cemetery, Bourne, MA, on Tuesday at 11:15 am.
