Kenneth G. MacLeod, age 91, of Taunton, formerly of Lakeville, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Marian Manor Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitative Care Center in Taunton.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Margaret (Riddock) & Everett MacLeod. In 1952, Ken enlisted with the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was stationed on the USS Albany and earned the National Defense Service Medal; he was Honorably discharged in 1954. Ken worked for many years at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution/MCI-Bridgewater, starting as a Guard and retiring as a Correctional Supervisor.
Ken was the beloved longtime companion of the late Kathleen Teceno; loving brother of the late Elyse Widen and Everett MacLeod; dear uncle of Robert Widen, Donald Widen and Stephen Widen; and devoted family friend of Karen Rego & her husband Jan of Taunton.
There will be NO visiting hours.
Family and friends are invited to a Brief Military Honors Service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Connery Avenue, Bourne, on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 11:30 AM.
