Kathleen “Kay” M. (Seaver) Zakarian

Kathleen (Kay) M. Zakarian, age 91, of Middleborough, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleborough.

Kay was born in Bridgewater to Raymond and Mary (Grady) Seaver.  She moved to Middleborough when she was 12 years old, and spent her life in the town she loved.  She was a graduate of Middleborough High School.  Kay worked alongside her husband, Victor (Lindy) Zakarian in their fruit and produce business for many years.  For several years, Kay was an Assessor for the Town of Middleborough.  She was involved in The Ladies Sodality at Sacred Heart Parish and volunteered at the thrift shop.  She loved playing bingo and regularly met with her girlfriends to play cards.  But the most important thing to Kay was her family.

Kay is predeceased by her husband, Victor.  She is survived by her three children:  Valerie Finnegan and her husband, Ted, of Middleborough; Linda Peterson and her husband, Steve, of Wareham; and Raymond (Tiger) Zakarian and his wife, Mary, of Lakeville.  She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 9:00-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM.

Interment at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Wood Street, Middleborough.
