Judith Alice (Willender) Proffit, age 80, of Middleborough, formerly of Weymouth, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.
Born in Weymouth, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. & Gertrude C. (Niemi) Willender. For many years, Judith worked as a mailroom clerk for the Blue Cross & Blue Shield Insurance Company. In her free time, she enjoyed reading; various books, novels, magazines, tabloids, anything available that may have piqued her interest. Judith was a simple lady and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.
Judith was the loving mother of Lisa Proffit of Middleborough, Michael Proffit & his wife Kristin of West Wareham and Steve Proffit & his wife Jennifer of Rochester; devoted grandmother of Zachary and Jake; dear sister of Karen Andrews of Weymouth; and former wife of the late Gary Proffit.
There are NO visiting hours.
Family and friends are welcome to the Brief Committal Service in the Cemetery at the Green, Plympton Street, (near the intersection of Routes 44 & 105), Middleborough, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
