Joseph "JOE" J. Mosca

Joseph J. Mosca, age 61, of New Bedford, died on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Saint Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.

Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of the late Anthony & Theresa (DeMoranville) Mosca.  Joe grew up in Middleborough, attended public schools and graduated Middleborough High School, Class of 1978.  He was a member of the chess club, and was an avid chess player.  For over 20 years, Joe was a Corrections Officer at the Correctional Facility in Bridgewater.

Joe was the loving brother of Terry Stone & her husband John of East Falmouth, Antonia Teixeira & her husband Joe, and John Mosca & his wife Barbara of Mansfield.  He is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to the visitation period at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 9:30-11:00 AM, with a prayer service starting at 11:00 AM.

Interment to follow at Cemetery at the Green, Plympton Street, Middleborough.
