Joseph Nunes

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Joseph Philip Nunes, aged 74 years, of Middleboro, died on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at his home. He was the son of Anthony J. and Catherine (Centeiro) Nunes. He served in the United States Army. Joseph retired as a hair dresser who owned his own business (hair only) in Boston. He is survived by his wife Joanne (Carlson) Nunes, former wife Louise (Paulette) Dixon, a daughter, Tina (Nunes) Chandler and husband Dean, a son Joseph Anthony Nunes Jr., a daughter Denina (Nunes) Veiga, a granddaughter Victoria Chandler, a grandson Justin Chandler, three brothers David, Stanley, Ronald, four sisters, Patricia Lopes, Dolly Paulette, Karen Torren and Debra Nunes, several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 25th from 11-12:30 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, with services to be held at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Heart Association www.heart.org or the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
