Joseph Curley Obituary

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Joseph Walter Curley Jr., 80, of Middleboro, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, November 20, 2015, at the Golden Living Center Oak Hill, Middleboro, after a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Beck) Curley; they had been married for 57 years. He was born in Wakefield, son of the late Joseph W. and Norma (Eaton) Curley. He served in the United States Army, during the Korean War. He worked as a chef and loved cooking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; his children, Eileen and her husband Bruce Dean, Elaine and her husband Steve Hodson, Arleen Curley, Joseph W. III and his wife Debbie Curley, Lorraine and her husband Charlie Salvitor, Doreen and her husband Keith Carrico, Coleen and her husband Kevin Demers, Scott Curley, Kevin Curley, Bryan and his wife Kristy Curley, Joleen Curley, 26 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a brother, James Curley, a sister, Marsha Tenny. He was brother of the late Martha Anderson. Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, on Monday, November 23rd from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 24th at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
