John E. Henault, age 62, of Middleborough, died after a brief illness, on Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
Born in Taunton, he grew up and attended schools in Middleborough. John married his high school sweetheart, Diane Mackiewicz, the love of his life, and they were married 37 years and recently renewed their wedding vows in 2019. For years, John worked at the Middleborough Police Station. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. He was "Mr. Fix-it", and could fix almost anything. John got lots of joy vacationing at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with his wife Diane in their mobile home. He was a caring, giving and loving man; he would help anyone in need.
John was the beloved husband of Diane Henault; loving father of Jill Henault & Francis McCormack of Middleborough, Bryan Henault of Middleborough and Steven Henault of Middleborough; adored grandfather of Jaden McCormack, Everlee McCormack, Chase Henault and Mason Henault; cherished son of Evelyn (Frazier) Henault of Middleborough & the late Alfred Henault; dear brother of Joanne Johnson of Middleborough, Robert Henault of Middleborough, Diane Teceno of Middleborough, the late James Henault and the late Brenda DeLongchamps; and dear brother-in-law of David Mackiewicz & his wife Mary of Middleborough. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
All are welcome to the Visiting Hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Monday, October 18, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleborough, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, starting at 9:15 AM, followed by John's funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Isidore Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre Street, Middleborough, at 10:00 AM.
Interment services will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Wood Street, Middleborough.
