Janet M. (Maroney) Romsey

Janet M. (Maroney) Romsey, age 74, of Middleborough, formerly of Norwood, died on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.

Janet was born and grew up in Norwood, and was a daughter of the late James & Alba (Cisternelli) Maroney.  She attended public schools and was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1969.  Janet loved her hometown of Norwood; especially with family and friends living there.  Janet married Charles in 1973 and together they started their family.  She was a "stay-at-home Mom", and a homemaker who loved cooking.  Janet was a proud grandmother and enjoyed swimming with her grandchildren.  She was caring and always thought of others before herself; at times, she could be outspoken too!  Janet was loved by all and she will be missed.

Janet was the beloved wife for 52 years to Charles D. Romsey; loving mother of Ryan D. Romsey of Carver and Jenna M. Romsey of Middleborough; adoring grandmother of Rylan and Reagan; cherished sister of Sha-Sha Shirley Marenghi of Norwood and Kathi Zerkle & her husband Ray of Westford; and dear aunt of Marco and Jimmy.

There will be NO visiting hours.

Funeral and Interment services are private.
