James "Jim" N. Pittsley, Jr.

James "Jim" N. Pittsley, Jr., age 88, of East Taunton, died on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at his home.

Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Doris (Meack) & James N. Pittsley, Sr.  In his younger days, Jim was a logger with his father, James, Sr.  He then worked for Assonet Industries as a laborer manufacturing electrical reels.  Jim enjoyed woodworking, country music, watching western movies and spending time with family.  He especially loved his "grand-dogs".

Jim was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" (Wright) Pittsley; loving father of James N. Pittsley, III & his wife Donna J. Pittsley of Tennessee and Paul S. Pittsley & his wife Donna M. Pittsley of East Taunton; adored grandfather of eight, great-grandfather of five and great great-grandfather of two; dear brother of Lois Perry of New Bedford and the late Wayne Pittsley, Doris Baker, Laural Benson and Myrtle Gross.

Funeral and interment services will be private.
