OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Howard Marshall, aged 93, lifelong resident of Middleboro, died on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Chilcot) Marshall; they had been married for 70 years. He was born in Middleboro, son of the late John and Carrie (Morris) Marshall. He was a graduate of Middleboro Memorial High School. Howard served in the United States Coast Guard as a Chief Pharmacist Mate, during WWII. He was retired from the Middleboro Water Department. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2188, and the American Legion Post #64. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two sons, Chick and his wife Jeannine Marshall, and Speedy and his wife Trisha Lapanna; two daughters, Sissy and her husband John Nay, and Pam Coleman; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 24th from 4-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St. Middleboro, on Saturday, June 25th at 10 am. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
