Hope Marilyn (Leander) Corbett, age 88, of Haverhill, formerly of Taunton and Middleborough, died on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Aspen Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Haverhill.
Born in Bourne, she was the daughter of the late Carl & Alice Leander. Hope grew up in Quincy, attended public schools and was a graduate of Quincy High School. She was a homemaker and raised her six children. For years, Hope worked at the First Years Company in Avon; she was a machinist responsible for the manufacturing of feeding and soothing items including teethers for infants. She enjoyed relaxing at home, doing Seek & Find puzzles and manicuring her very long nails. Hope was a very simple lady, with a simple life.
Hope was the loving mother of Susan Hope McHugh of South Carolina, Cynthia Ann McHugh of South Carolina, Dawn Marie McGarry & her husband Jim of Taunton, Douglas Joseph Marks of Kingston, James Gordon Firlotte, Jr. of Plympton and Michelle Lynn Firlotte of Maine; and cherished grandmother of 10. She was the last surviving sibling of 13.
