Gina Petersen

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO): Gina Erica Petersen, 37, of Wareham, passed in her home on July 26, 2017 after a four-year courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the wife of Martin Petersen; married September 13, 2009, together since 2000. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and late Lynda S. Martini (Hilditch). She was joyously self-employed since 2006 as a virtual assistant. She loved spending time with her family and pets, long motorcycle and quad rides with Marty, camping on the beach at Nauset or in NH. Gina will most be remembered as a caretaker for those she loved, her ability to light up a room just by walking into it and by bringing positive and loving energy to everything and everyone who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Martin of Wareham; children, Drew Petersen of East Wareham and Chelsea Petersen of Attleboro; sisters, Sandra Martini-Gamache and her husband Jerry of Lakeville, and Fran Robery and her husband Guy III of Wareham; half-sister, Katarina Magnusson of Sweden; nieces and nephews, T.J. Dexter, Sarah, Gerry Robery, all of Wareham, Marisa, Sarah, Sammy and Justin Petersen, all of NC; her beloved second family, Jack and the late Janet Trainer and children Lisa Trainer, Jack Trainer, Laura (Trainer) Stearns, Jannet (Trainer) Denson and Lorna (Trainer) Arneson and their families; her beloved pets, Roxy, Brandy, and B.J. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 31st from 4-8 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro.
