Gilbert Fiola

OBITUARY: (MILFORD) Gilbert Donald Fiola, aged 77 years, of Milford, formerly of Assonet and Fall River, died on Friday, May 10, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Claire B. (Martinville) Fiola of Milford. Born in Fall River, April 29, 1936; he was the son of the late Armand J. and Yvette (Bergeron) Fiola. Gilbert had served in the United States Army, from 1955-1958. He is survived by his wife, Claire; a daughter, Michelle L. Farnworth; two sons, Claude G. and his wife Sandy Fiola, Daniel R. and his wife Debbie Fiola; three brothers, Armand and his wife Yolande Fiola, David and his wife Carol Fiola, and Maurice Fiola; sister-in-law, Jeannie Fiola, wife of the late Roland Fiola; grandchildren, Andrew D. Farnworth, Andrea and her husband Graham Powers, Casey and Seth Fiola, Brandyn, Kelsielynn, Emily and Jayden Fiola, Sean, Kaitlyn and Brandon Byrnes; a great-grandson, Travis Byrnes. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 17th at 11 am at the Middletown Newport Memorial Park, 123 Howland Ave. Middletown, RI 02840.
