OBITUARY: (TAUNTON) Evelyn Esther (Little) Hudson, passed away Friday July 22, 2016, after a period of declining health. She was born March 19, 1932, in Hampstead, NH, the daughter of Esther Isabelle (Evans) Little and Perry E. Little Sr. She graduated from Middleboro High School, class of 1950, and was married September 18, 1950, to Richard Allen Hudson Sr., of Middleboro. She is survived by three children, Jacqueline Mirka and her long-time companion William Doherty of Raynham, Richard Hudson Jr. and his wife Irene of Dighton, and son Steven and his wife Juanita of Middleboro. Evelyn's greatest love was her husband followed by her love for her children and spouses, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and her many nieces, nephews and friends. Evelyn and Dick loved the outdoors and camping and went south with their camper many winters to visit with friends and sightsee. She loved biking, swimming and walking, played bingo and loved to read. She was a creative woman who took delight in crafts, painting, cooking and even took a wood-working class. She and Dick also loved to play cards with family and friends. Evelyn is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth "Pete" Brickett, of Hillsborough, NH, Fran Russell and her husband John of Middleboro, and Susan McGivern and her husband Fran of Braham, MN; one brother, Perry Little Jr. and his wife Anna of Middleboro. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Hovey of Magnolia, MA. She was a gracious, kind, smart woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. Arrangements are by the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 29th from 2-4 pm, with a service in the funeral home to be held at 4 pm.
