Ellen Irene (MacDonald) Pellerine

Ellen Irene (MacDonald) Pellerine, age 66, of Brockton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at her home.

Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Ann (McCabe) & James E. MacDonald, Jr..  Ellen grew up and attended public schools in Whitman, and was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School, Class of 1977.  She continued her education studying at the Westminster Choir College in New Jersey, earning her Master's Degree.  Ellen had a passion for music; and a beautiful singing voice.  She loved the theater and sang in several performances.  For many years, Ellen was a music teacher for the Brockton Public Schools, teaching most of the time at the Arnone Elementary School, located on Belmont Street, Brockton.  She was proud of her Irish Heritage and loved being near the ocean and the beaches.  Ellen loved her Boston Terriers, Maggie and Aria.  She was most content spending her days and nights with her true love, Ed, and with family and friends.  Ellen was a quiet, beautiful, loving soul, had a beautiful smile and a generous heart; she will be sorely missed.

Ellen was the beloved wife for 33 years to Edward C. Pellerine; dear sister of the late James Michael "Bubba" MacDonald, Sr.; loving aunt of James M. MacDonald, Jr. of Texas; dear sister-in-law of Carol Reale of Meredith, NH; caring aunt of Cassandra Reale of Meredith, NH and Alexis Reale & Will of Center Harbor, NH; great-aunt of Luciana; and dear friend to many.

Family and friends are welcome to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00-5:00 PM.

All are invited to the funeral service in the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleborough, on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 10:15 AM.

Interment services will be private.
