Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Brown, age 75, of Middleborough, died on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.
Born in Stoughton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley & Florence (Bennett) Brown. Betty grew up in Easton and Middleborough, attended public schools and graduated from Middleborough High School, Class of 1968. She continued her education, earning an Associate's Degree in bookkeeping from Bristol Community College. Betty held various jobs; working at the former Lakeville Hospital, several engineering companies, and finally finding her "favourite" job at the Gilmore Cranberry Company in Carver, where she worked for many years.
Betty enjoyed reading, crocheting, travelling, dining out and shopping, especially for any bargains! Family was important too; Betty loved family gatherings and looked forward to the annual Big Christmas Party. Some of her family members lovingly referred to her as "Betty-Boop." Betty was a caring and kind soul; she was very generous and giving to family as well as donating to many charities. She also volunteered for a while, counting and recording the weekly offerings at Sacred Heart Church in Middleborough. Betty's family loved her, and she will be missed.
Betty was the loving sister of Nancy Leonard of Middleborough and Barbara Kelly of Mashpee; cherished aunt of Linda Sullivan & her husband Stephen of Mashpee, Laura Creonte & her husband Tony of Plymouth, Larry Leonard of Middleborough, Lois Harraden & her partner Mike of Taunton, Lee Leonard & his wife Missy of East Bridgewater, Lenny Leonard & his wife Tina of Fort Myers, FL, and the late Lloyd Leonard, Jr.; great-aunt of seven and great great-aunt of five.
