OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Eleanor Landers (Feindle) O'Toole, aged 92 years, of Middleboro, died peacefully at her home on March 4, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur F. O'Toole, who predeceased her in June of 1998. Born in Danvers, MA, October 27, 1920 to Robert and Mae (Gates) Feindle, she attended Danvers public schools and then graduated from New England Baptist School of Nursing in 1938. She patriotically served her country as a Second Lt. Nurse in France during WWII. She married Arthur F. O'Toole, October 27, 1947, and they made Middleboro their lifelong home. While married and raising a family, she opened Eleanor's Dress Shop in Middleboro in 1957. She enjoyed her worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke's Hospital in Middleboro for many years until retirement. She was a lifelong member of the Middleboro Cabot Club. Eleanor always enjoyed a spirited conversation and was always ready to discuss the Red Sox, politics, and the weather as well. She enjoyed games, plants, flowers, counted cross stitch, oil painting, reading, knitting, cooking, nature, traveling, autumn weather, owls and crosswords until the very end. Eleanor is survived by her 3 children, Arthur R. O'Toole of Vero Beach, FL, Linda A. O'Toole Guilbert of Acworth, GA, Alan B. O'Toole of Middleboro, and their families and all the loved ones who cared for her at the end of her life. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. She celebrated her life with a living memorial during her 90th birthday celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the charity of one's choice are welcomed. Arrangements are being handled by the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleboro.
