Edward "Ed" William Reynolds

Edward W. Reynolds, age 91, of Middleborough, died on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleborough.

Born in Fitchburg, he was the son of the late Charles & Delia Reynolds.  Ed grew up in Fitchburg and later in Boston, graduating from high school in 1950.  For over 25 years, he worked as an Electrician for different companies.  Ed decided to change careers and became a self-employed businessman and salesman which he enjoyed for another 25 years and retired in 2005.  Ed and his wife, Mary Theresa retired to Oak Point in Middleborough.  He loved playing "Texas Hold 'Em" poker with his friends at the clubhouse at Oak Point as well as playing poker at Foxwoods Casino.  Ed was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed baseball and football.  Being the closest team to the area, he watched the Giants on the television first and then switched over to the Patriots once the Patriots joined the NFL during the NFL merger in 1970.

Edward was the beloved husband of the late Mary Theresa (Donlin) Reynolds; loving father of Charles Reynolds & Colleen Egan of New Jersey, Steven Reynolds of New Jersey & his late wife Barbara and Paul Reynolds of Rhode Island; devoted grandfather of Andrew Reynolds of Delaware and Amy Wolf & her husband John of Delaware; great-grandfather of Finley Wolf; and dear brother of the late May Oinonen, Charles Reynolds, and Elaine Pelletier.

Family and friends are welcome to the visitation period at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM.

Interment services will be private.
